What To Expect
Your First Two Visits
Your first appointments at SoVita Chiropractic will involve your doctor and healthcare team getting to know your health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals, as well as a comprehensive examination to identify the root cause of your pain.
Preparing for Your First Appointment
To ensure a smooth visit, please complete and print your new patient paperwork before your initial appointment. Bring your insurance card and state-issued ID. We recommend wearing loose-fitting, comfortable clothing for your visit.

Upon arrival, your care team will meet with you to go over your new patient paperwork. Your doctor will then discuss your pain, symptoms, mobility issues, and wellness goals.
This is followed by a thorough neuro-musculoskeletal examination that may include the following and any other necessary tests based on your condition:
- Posture assessment to check for proper alignment and muscle symmetry, identifying any possible abnormalities
- Functional movement test to pinpoint any movement patterns that might be limiting your performance
- Range of motion evaluation to identify any joint-related movement restrictions
- Neurological and Orthopedic tests to assess musculoskeletal and nervous system functions
- X-rays, if needed, to determine conditions that might be impacting your care
Diagnosis and Individualized Care Plan:
Your Important Second Appointment
Your Crucial Second Appointment
Your second appointment is typically scheduled within a day or two after your initial evaluation and is essential for reviewing your diagnosis and personalized care plan with your doctor. During this 45-minute visit, you will:
- Review the findings from your evaluation. Your doctor will explain any abnormalities and how they relate to your pain symptoms and wellness goals.
- Receive a customized care plan tailored to your specific needs. Patients often receive their first chiropractic adjustment during their follow-up visit.
- Discuss insurance coverage. Your care team will help you understand your insurance benefits and explore the most cost-effective options for your treatment.
This is an excellent time to ask any questions and learn more about your health.
